The first Omersa footstool was a pig made in the 1920's from leather leftover from the production of hand luggage. This pig was sold through Liberty’s in London and has been ever since. From the 1960s different animals have been produced, including the very popular rhino, which ultimately also forms the logo of the Omersa production company.
